Since high school, Mark has...
-Received a BA from the U of M with a major in Journalism and a minor in Theatre Arts
-Worked too many "day jobs" to list but many have been in the insurance field
-Played in way too many rock bands. Let's list some of them for fun, shall we?: Sonny Vincent & the Extreme (a touring 11 piece punk band), No Excuse, The View (anyone remember Rocking 104-they played my song "Flowers on the Corner" ), Poetic Justice, Legacy, Paragon (with Mike Schultz), SLEEPING DOGS (another band with Mikey that recorded a CD of my material entlitled "LIE" in which Steve & Scott more than participated), and now I'm in BLURRY (a modern 90's and newer rock cover band). All these and more since Ground Control dissolved (Or did we?????!!!).

On a personal note:
-I changed the spelling of my last name to Hutzal so I never have to suffer the Ukrainian-name- butchering sound of "HEEWCAAL" ever again. Those still having problems with Hutzal- call me Mark!
-I married a wonderful woman named Jennifer. We've been together for 10 years. Married for 7 years. No kids yet. I think Steve, Mike and Scott have evaporated all the Ground Control child-bearing karma.

I am blessed to have good friends in my life. All the "boys" in Ground Control are now fine young men and I value our long-standing friendship more than they probably know. Long Live Ground Control !!!!
