After graduating in 1984, Scott played with Ground Control for the rest of the year. In January 1985, Scott moved to Boston to attend the Berklee College of Music. Steve and Scott played and recorded together on many occasions between 1985 and 1988. Scott graduated in 1988 with a degree in Professional Music and moved back to MN to be a recording engineer.

After working for two years in the music scene in MN, Scott decided it was time to move to the recording Mecca of Los Angeles. Scott got a job at The Record Plant and learned the ropes by working in some of the best studios in the world including Record Plant, A&M Studios, and Madonna’s studio, Brooklyn Recording. After 3 years in Los Angeles, Scott decided it was time to see a different part of the country. He and his new bride, Sheryl (Sirotinsky) moved to the other recording Mecca of Nashville.

The Stillmans spent 2 years in Nashville, Scott working some good ol’ country and folk music. During that time, the members of Ground Control also did some recording in Minneapolis and Nashville with Mark and Mike’s band, Sleeping Dogs. It was a great project and fun for everyone.

After 8 years in the recording business, Scott decided it was time to settle down and start a family. The Stillmans moved back to MN in 1995. For the last 6 years, Scott has been working for a company called Espresso Services Inc., helping independent and corporate customers start up coffee shops.
